How long does a portrait session run?
A session with me session will usually run for about 1 hour, but can be extended day of. Depending on the location and my familiarity with it, the session may run longer to find the best settings for your photos.

How far in advance should I book a portrait session?
I recommend reaching out to me at least 2 full months in advance to book your session. Since I am still in graduate school and work part time at a local restaurant, I have a lot of competing schedules! 2 months will provide me plenty of notice to ensure we can schedule a day that will work for both of us.

What is the process for booking a session with you?
There are several ways you can reach out to me to book a session. You can utilize the “contact” page on this website, message me through Facebook or Instagram, or email me directly at kythephotolens.photography@gmail.com.

Will our portrait session take place indoors or outdoors?
At this point in time, I do not have an indoor studio. Therefore, all of my sessions take place outdoors at a variety of different locations around Portland, Maine. We will work collaboratively to decide which will best fit your vision for your session. I am open to exploring new locations upon request, as well!

Do you photograph events?
Yes! I have been a staff photographer for my local anime convention, PortCon Maine, since 2022. I currently sit as the photography department’s chair! I greatly enjoy the fast-paced environment that event photography brings and always look forward to the next.

How will I receive my photos?
And do I order prints from you?
You will receive your digitally photos through an emailed link from box.com where you can download them to your phone and other devices. I do not offer prints, but do have a piece of advice to share: If you want to get photos printed, I highly recommend going through Staples rather than CVS or Walgreens. Because the files are so large in megapixels, they tend to come out rather grainy and pixelated when not printed with high quality printers, such as the ones at Staples.

Do you have props?
I have a number of props including baby clothes, blankets, flower crowns, confetti, and glitter. I am always looking to expand my offerings!

Can I get my unedited/raw images?
Under no circumstance will I give out raw and unedited images. I spend days-weeks sorting through each picture to ensure I give you all of the best ones, edited to perfectly reflect your beauty and my brand.
